Words and Music (1)
Singing,
my voice would float
out of my heart to yours,
no doubt in what I meant
no error reading my intent.
Silenced,
my power was lost.
Feelings within me,
trapped, swirling, longing
to spin the thread of contact.
Writing,
I find again my way.
Words reach across our space
sharing my private being,
touching your inner self.

Words and Music (2)
Singing, I sent my voice floating
out of my heart to yours,
no doubt in what I meant
no error reading my intent.
Silenced, my power lost,.
Feelings within me trapped,
swirling, longing
to spin the thread of contact.
Writing, I find my way.
Words reach across our space
sharing my private being,
touching your inner self.
Words and Music (3)
I sang of losing love,
of grief that weighed upon the heart
though happiness was everywhere,
I sang the glory of God, believer or not,
my heart locked onto yours.
But when my voice was lost,
my throat cut off,
my thread to reach you snapped and
I was dumb, stifled, exhausted
by the passions in my breast.
Words build a way,
holding the pain,
relieving the despair,
my tuneless song
reaching to your attentive ear.
