Casting a Spell
The full moon presses upon my eyelids.
It flows across the ripples of the cove,
over my covers and my skin.
The cool light insists on its image.
My closed eyes know the silver shape,
soaring through the clouds.
I am drawn out of my bed,
across the water
and into the empty
sky.
