Motherhood
swollen breasts
belly distended still
after discharging its safeguarded twins
legs, arms slender as they were before
the transformation
and the days back at her desk
frantic to see and hold her babies but
her mind newly engaged,
studying reports, planning projects
dilemma insoluble –twin passions
neither satisfied
